Winter Wedding at Black Butte Ranch

Winter weddings in Central Oregon are incredibly special because we think the snow makes everything feel like magic! Courtney and Sam’s wedding day in January at Black Butte Ranch felt magical from start to finish. We worked with the couple for a long time leading up to the big day, designing all the colors, details, signage, tablescapes, ceremony, and florals. Originally they were scheduled to be married at a different venue, but with less than a month’s notice they were informed of a water issue and had to pivot to Black Butte Ranch. We can all agree it was a major upgrade and the design transitioned beautifully to the new space!

Courtney’s dress, adorned with pearls, looked like it was covered in perfect little snowflakes and just shined in the winter light. The couple’s wedding party looked sharp in winter jewel tones and velvet textures. The design focused on white, blue, and gold which was reflected in the flower arrangements, linen, and specialty chiavari chair rental.

Our team experienced the wedding from start to finish and one of our biggest observations was that all of Courtney and Sam’s guests were genuinely enjoying themselves to the fullest. Sometimes at weddings there is a “polite” energy, but at their celebration it was true, unbridled joy and comfort. At the end of the night, the bride Courtney changed into her party dress and cut her bangs! A unique second look to party the rest of the night at Black Butte Ranch.
