Wedding planners and coordinators are the problem-solvers. We’re the helpers, the doers, the save-the-day-ers. We smack down issues like whack-a-mole and smooth wrinkles (literally) for our couples. After years of doing this, I’ve realized that couples need more support, more expertise, and well… just more of us. A day-of coordination package just doesn’t cut it, because
a) Showing up blind on the day-of the wedding isn’t a real thing, and
b) Having access to your ‘expert’ only 6 weeks before the wedding is too little too late.
Support from Day 1.
Average Day-of Coordination packages go something like this: Hire the planning company, go months with no contact, maybe have a couple email exchanges, then get introduced to a real human 4-6 weeks before the wedding. This model works if you have a spare 300 hours to plan a flawless wedding during the months of no contact. Or if you’re J Lo.
But what if you’ve never planned a wedding before? What if you need someone to hold you accountable, give you homework, and fill in gaps along the way? What if you don’t have time to remember all the details, read all the blogs, listen to all the podcasts??
We plan weddings day-in and day-out. It’s what we’re good at, what we’re passionate about. So why shouldn’t you have access to that expertise?
