Morgan is a graduate of the highly regarded Floral Design Institute, where she became a certified Wedding Floral Specialist. When it came time to name her floral business, she drew inspiration from her Swedish roots and selected the word “blomstra,” meaning “flourish” or “bloom.” To Morgan, the meaning behind the term doesn’t just reference flowers but humans as well. We flourish and bloom when we love and are loved in return—which is what wedding celebrations are all about!
Next, the term ‘floriography’ references the ancient study of the language of flowers, which has roots in Egypt, Scandinavia, and Asia. During the Victorian era, the practice was revived when lovers would send blooms of specific meaning to one another, communicating what they couldn’t say out loud. Morgan’s extensive knowledge of floriography, and the meaning behind specific colors and varieties of flowers, is what makes her business so unique! She truly is a master storyteller, and her arrangements reflect her couples’ love stories in such beautiful ways.
The Blomstra Floriography Experience
Blomstra Floriography is a full-service florist, meaning that they take care of set up, tear down, and everything in between.
