Alli + Chris' Groovy Boho Wedding in Powell Butte, Oregon

Alli and Chris’ wedding in Powell Butte was a boho dream! Their venue was the backyard of Alli’s parents’ home in the high desert, where their guests were treated to panoramic views of the Three Sisters. Several months prior to their big day, Alli inquired with us about day-of coordination so that everything would run smoothly. Needless to say, we were more than happy to come on board with this sweet couple!

A Boho Bespoke Bride

If you’re familiar with Ponderosa Planning, you know that we love our colleagues over at Bespoke Bride in Bend! It’s always a pleasure to work with Bespoke Brides, so we were thrilled when we found out that Alli was a member of the #bespokefam.

Of course, the folks at Bespoke found Alli the perfect boho wedding gown that looked right at home in the high desert. Floral lace cutouts covered the surface of the gown, which also featured a plunging neckline and a mermaid skirt. She accessorized with a pair of white and tan cow print ankle boots, while dried florals from The Posie Shoppe adorned her hair. She looked like a boho princess! Meanwhile, Chris complemented her perfectly in a tan suit paired with a terracotta necktie.

Warm Retro-Inspired Details for a Wedding in Powell Butte

The couple’s reception decor was the epitome of groovy boho fun! Their ceremony arbor was repurposed to stand behind their sweetheart table, complete with bunches of pampas grass and warm-hued roses and dahlias. At each guest’s table setting, a camp mug with a personalized vintage sticker awaited them. We love it when our couples put their own spin on guest favors to show their loved ones they’re appreciated!

In addition, yellow was a prominent color featured throughout the wedding day design. Alli’s wedding party wore mismatched dresses in shades of daffodil and marigold, while linen napkins added a sunny pop of color to the reception tablescapes. The warm palette complemented the golden light of summer and matched the joy of the couple! Their last name is “Good,” so it only made sense that their wedding day was inspired by the good vibes of the 60s and 70s. And really, what could be better than enjoying mountain views and delicious food with family and friends?
