Ranch at the Canyons Summer Wedding: Boho + Bright
European-style architecture, a warm color palette, and carefree fun were the defining elements of McKenna and Ryan’s wedding at Ranch at the Canyons. The two made a long-distance relationship work while Ryan was deployed with the Coast Guard. In fact, when we first met McKenna, he was stationed all the way out in Ketchikan, Alaska. Now, they share a home in Bend and are so excited to begin their new life together!
A Personalized Wedding Day at Ranch at the Canyons
After Ryan proposed, McKenna instantly knew that Ranch at the Canyons would be their venue. As a little girl, she participated in a horseback riding excursion there with her mother and sister and fell in love. With the venue’s majestic canyon views and Tuscan-style buildings, it isn’t hard to see why! In addition, McKenna was passionate about being involved in the planning process from day one. She wanted to embrace the European flair of the venue with Spanish-inspired details and a vibrant color palette. As the wedding day drew nearer, it was amazing to watch her vision come to life!
The couple’s florals from The Posie Shoppe were an integral part of that vision, featuring roses in warm hues of red and coral with sprigs of greenery and baby’s breath. No expense was spared for a ceremony and reception full of lush floral arrangements! In addition, their reception featured plenty of playful elements that gave their guests a one-of-a-kind experience. From a wall of tequila shots that took the place of traditional escort cards to a bar inside of a converted Airstream, the couple’s unique personality shone.
Two Dazzling Dresses
A day full of stylish details calls for a show-stopping bride and groom, and McKenna and Ryan didn’t disappoint! McKenna’s ceremony gown was a minimalist piece from Made with Love, featuring scalloped lace and a gorgeous split train which she paired with off-white ankle boots. Meanwhile, Ryan looked dapper in a classic tux with a black bowtie.
Later, when the dance party portion of the reception got underway, McKenna changed into a flirty mini dress from Anthropologie. The dress’s butterfly sleeves and sparkly beading were practically made for twirling around on the dance floor! As the evening drew to a close, the couple broke a glitter-filled piñata together in another playful homage to their Spanish theme. Then, Bontá Gelato arrived to treat everyone to some locally made gelato. This day was so thoughtfully planned from start to finish and we were so glad to be a part of it!
Returning to Ranch at the Canyons, one of our favorite Oregon outdoor wedding venues, was definitely a highlight of this wedding day. And, being featured in Junebug was the icing on the cake! We would love to bring your Central Oregon wedding dreams to life.
