How to Plan a Wedding at Loloma Lodge

Bride and groom kiss at their Loloma wedding in the woods

Loloma Lodge, nestled in the woods at the banks of the McKenzie River, is a magical setting for your Oregon wedding. Couples travel from near and far to experience this unique property and share it with their closest friends & family for a destination wedding weekend. It’s no secret that Loloma Lodge is one of our favorite Oregon wedding venues, and Keely & John’s summer wedding was quintessentially modern yet woodsy.

When your first date is a trail run, you know the shared love for the outdoors is strong. When asked why they wanted to get married at Loloma, Keely answered:

“We chose Loloma Lodge as our venue because it allows us the opportunity to spend a whole weekend surrounded by nature with a small group of loved ones.”

Do you want an intimate, woodsy celebration in Oregon? Read on for our advice when planning a wedding at Loloma Lodge:

embrace the venue

Loloma Lodge has buildings that date back to 1928! Planning your wedding at Loloma should take the rustic setting into account, by either contrasting or complementing it with your design. In our opinion, Loloma is the perfect setting for groups under 100. Everyone can comfortably sit together and enjoy the property.

Think Local

Our team instantly connected with Keely and John over our shared commitment to sustainability, supporting local vendors, and minimizing single-use decor. You can use a combination of vendors from Bend and Eugene to bring any vision to life. Loloma Lodge has an abundance of dishware and glassware available for use, which helps minimize waste throughout the entire weekend.

Hire professionals

Although Loloma Lodge weddings are focused on laid back gatherings, they are also best executed by a team of professionals. Think of the reception as building a restaurant in the woods. Everything from furniture and rentals, to food and beverage service, needs to be brought in. Our couples who get married at Loloma always marvel at the work and logistics involved to get everything just right. By hiring professionals, you can truly be guests at your own wedding. spread out across the property

Loloma Lodge has so many unique spaces to utilize for your wedding. We love when couples host a welcome drink in the garden, a ceremony at the river, cocktail hour on the Main House lawn, and the reception in the main space with a gorgeous bar and covered dance floor. Planning a wedding at Loloma requires some logistical expertise, and we are the experts in navigating the property! slow down

Our biggest advice when planning a wedding at Loloma Lodge? Slow. down. and enjoy. You have access to the property from Friday evening through Sunday morning, or even longer if you book an extra night! Make room in your budget to host a welcome party and a farewell coffee so you can truly soak up your guests. Creating memories at Loloma is easy, but only if you take the time to do it.
