Floral-Filled Spring Wedding at Tetherow Resort

Ashley and Brad’s wedding at Tetherow Resort encompassed everything we love about spring in Oregon, including a snowy first look in the mountains, a sun-soaked outdoor ceremony, and plenty of floral details. Brad popped the question two weeks before the COVID lockdown, so the couple postponed their wedding until 2022. Serendipitously, a May date opened up at Tetherow Resort, and they decided to move ahead with planning!

Brad and our lead planner Emily are from the same hometown, Kirkland, Washington, so the connection was instant. Although they hail from the PNW, Ashley and Brad now live in Palm Springs, where they enjoy hiking, golfing, and exploring the desert (gorgeous weather all year round is a plus, too!). It was a pleasure to provide wedding management for this sweet couple!

In Loving Memory

The couple’s planning paused in January of 2022 when the unexpected passing of Ashley’s beloved father turned their lives upside down. Anticipating their special day took on a new, bittersweet feeling. However, they were determined to continue their plans and honor Ashley’s dad in whatever way they could. On their wedding day, they placed frames with Ashley’s favorite photos of him throughout the venue. In addition, a table at the reception was dedicated to his memory and featured two of his favorite treats: peanut M&Ms and Mountain Dew.

Ashley’s mom walked her down the aisle at the couple’s outdoor ceremony overlooking the Cascades. In a moment of perfect comedic timing, a strong gust of wind knocked over the heavy easel welcoming guests to the event! It may not have been part of the plan, but it gave everyone a good laugh during an emotionally charged moment. Our planner Cherise’s shocked face said it all!

Wedding at Tetherow Resort

Ashley and Brad exchanged their vows outdoors at Tetherow Resort, where the landscape was lush and green. A round floral arch with clusters of roses, peonies, and pampas grass took center stage while the aisle full of scattered petals added a touch of romance. Ashley’s dress was perfect for a spring wedding, with delicate lace vines superimposed over the mermaid silhouette. Even the couple’s officiant paid homage to the season in a colorful floral suit!

The reception took place afterward inside the Tetherow Pavilion Ballroom. We love this modern space that is always full of natural light thanks to the wall made entirely of windows that can accordion open to connect the indoors to the outdoors! The couple opted for simple tablescapes with organic touches, including log slice centerpieces and vases of blush flowers. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal full of seasonal produce courtesy of Tetherow’s in-house caterer. Then it was time to dance the night away with our go-to Bend area DJ, Flip Flop Sounds!

In her feedback, Ashley praised our team for having tequila or tissues ready whenever she needed them. We really couldn’t ask for higher praise!
