Pampas Grass and Earth Tones For This Fall Wedding at Sunriver Resort

Madi and Griffin’s wedding at Sunriver Resort was a pretty pink-and-white affair with touches of boho texture. The two live in Eugene, and while they only dated for one year before inquiring about full-service wedding planning, they knew they were each other’s person! Both are outgoing and adventurous and wanted their personalities to shine through on their wedding day. Through the combination of a local vendor team and the couple’s awesome wedding party and guests, we accomplished that goal!

Planning a Sunriver Resort Wedding

Griffin’s mom, Robyn, was the first to contact our team for help planning her son and future daughter-in-law’s wedding. She wanted to throw an unforgettable party for all their extended family and friends at the breathtaking Sunriver Resort in Bend! Soon we connected with Madi and Griffin to learn more about their wedding vision. Booking their wedding date was priority #1 since the couple specifically wanted to be married on October 22nd to honor the birthday of Griffin’s late grandfather. Fall weddings in Oregon are in high demand, but thankfully that date was open at the resort!

Other elements of the day Madi and Griffin wanted to prioritize were the drinks and food, décor, and incorporating a unity ceremony. They also wanted the day to feel upbeat and energetic, involving all their guests! Hosting their wedding at Sunriver Resort took care of the drinks and food since the resort’s on-site catering and bartending services are top-notch. Our tried-and-true Bend area DJ, Flip Flop Sounds, was also an invaluable addition to the vendor team! They brought the party to Sunriver Resort and had all the couple’s guests on the dance floor in no time after the delicious meal.

White and Blush Wedding Décor

For the couple’s ceremony and reception décor, we enlisted the talents of Wild Poppy Florist to help us create a romantic and lush atmosphere. Vases filled with tall stalks of pampas grass lined the aisle at their ceremony inside Sunriver Resort’s Historic Great Hall, alongside flickering candles that cozied up the high-ceilinged rustic space. A wooden hexagon arbor decorated with swaths of greenery and clusters of pink flowers awaited them at the head of the room.

The couple’s reception was also inside the Historic Great Hall, transformed into an elegant dining space with the help of selected décor and furniture rentals from Heirlooms & Co. A farm table seated the couple at the head of the room, where their ceremony arbor acted as a backdrop. Meanwhile, their guests sat at round tables covered in white tablecloths and topped with blush linen napkins and modern gold chargers. Delicate centerpieces composed of floating candles, scattered greenery, and bud vases filled with roses and dried textural elements added boho charm.

Planning Madi and Griffin’s Sunriver Resort wedding was so fun! We love working with this venue—especially for fall weddings! Whether you’re a native Oregonian or interested in a Bend destination wedding, we would love to help you bring your vision to life. We’ve designed our range of planning packages to suit any couple’s needs!
