Taylor + Matt's Vibrant Vow Renewal in Bend

Long Hollow Ranch / Colorful WEDDING / Central Oregon

What’s even better than living in Bend, Oregon?

Getting married there!

For Taylor and Matt, who met in middle school, they wanted their wedding to be all about spending quality time with all their favorite people and this was especially important with the pandemic going on. They were craving that connection and what better time to get everyone together for an epic celebration of love.

In late 2020, we hosted a Day of Coordination Giveaway for one deserving couple and that’s how we found Taylor. She entered our drawing, explaining that her and Matter were married at Sparks Lake in an intimate ceremony earlier in the year, but postposed their wedding celebration until August 2021.

These two newlyweds won the giveaway and it was such a win-win for us, too!

Taylor was all about color for her wedding. She incorporated bright and fun colors in many places as possible in addition to designing the décor for the wedding herself. The bud vases on the tables were amber Metolius Chai Tea bottles (how local is that!) and the couple also had a neon sign that juxtaposed in such a fun way with a hanging macramé installation above the dessert table.

Working with this Orange Theory coach was so much fun. Taylor was always so organized when we met in person to review her plans. A girl after my own heart… she came with her color-coded notebook and copies of all her contracts! A true wedding coordinator’s dream!

As we got closer to their wedding date, wildfires in Sisters, Oregon threatened to postpone the event again. The community was evacuated just weeks before their wedding. Once everything opened back up, they forged ahead hoping for the skies to clear and were blessed with the most beautiful summer day.

There were two major highlights that stuck out from Taylor + Matt’s beautiful celebration.

The first was a special dance by Taylor and her mother and trust me there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It was such a tender moment that it was a pleasure to witness.

The second being when Matt, a Deschutes County Sheriff, started his vows by saying, “Taylor…You have the right to remain silent…” It was hilarious!

Taylor and Matt have such big hearts. Their kindness and love for each other and their community shined through the entire time.
